Release of Prabhas film Fauzi teaser

Overview

To coincide with actor Prabhas’ 47th birthday, the makers of the period action-drama ‘Fauzi’ released a teaser titled ‘File No. 25’. The film, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is set in the 1940s pre-independence era and follows a rebel soldier and spy fighting British rule.

The teaser depicts a fictionalized historical encounter in Berlin between Indian revolutionary leader Subhash Chandra Bose and Adolf Hitler. During this scene, Bose describes the protagonist, a strategist known as ‘Fauzi’, whose military code is rooted in the Bhagavad Gita.

While the teaser generated excitement, it also sparked controversy. Some viewers criticized the film for its fictionalized portrayal of real historical figures and expressed concerns that the use of humor and fictionalized dialogue might trivialize the serious nature of the era. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2027.
