Prachuap Khiri Khan customs seize 4.37 million baht in smuggled goods

Thai customs officials and security agencies launched ‘Phitak Khiri Khan Operation’ in Prachuap Khiri Khan province to intercept a smuggling ring transporting tax-evaded goods from southern Thailand to Bangkok.

During the operation, authorities conducted searches on southern line passenger trains at Prachuap Khiri Khan Railway Station and established checkpoints for transport vehicles at the Huai Yang checkpoint on Phet Kasem Road.

Seized items included approximately 370,600 sticks of smuggled foreign cigarettes, 23 brand-name bags, 55 electronic cigarettes and pods, and 53 bottles of foreign perfume. The total value of the seized goods and unpaid taxes is estimated at over 4.37 million baht.
