Prada opens eight-floor Galleria complex in Milan

Prada has unveiled the Prada Galleria, an expansive eight-floor complex located within Milan’s historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The site holds significant heritage for the company, marking the location where the brand was originally founded in 1913 as Fratelli Prada by brothers Mario and Martino Prada.

The new development integrates several existing elements, including the historic womenswear boutique and the menswear boutique, which are now connected by an underground tunnel known as the ‘Passaggio Segreto’. The complex features a wide array of offerings, including womenswear, menswear, beauty products, home goods, and food via the historic Marchesi 1824 pasticceria.

In addition to retail, the space serves as a cultural destination. It includes the Osservatorio Fondazione Prada on the upper levels and ‘Pradasphere’, a permanent exhibition dedicated to the brand’s history and artifacts. The project was directed by head designer Miuccia Prada to allow visitors to immerse themselves in the brand’s past, present, and future.
