Prada opens eight-story flagship Galleria in Milan

Prada has opened the Prada Galleria, an eight-story flagship project located within Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The site marks the historic location where the brand first opened as a leather goods shop in 1913.

Curated by Miuccia Prada, the complex integrates retail, hospitality, and culture. It features boutiques for men’s and women’s fashion, the Marchesi 1824 pastry shop, and the ‘Pradasphere’ permanent exhibition, which displays archival pieces. The project also includes the Osservatorio Fondazione Prada for visual experimentation and the ‘Appartamento,’ a space for private events featuring works by artist Andreas Gursky.

In addition to this physical expansion, Prada management is focusing on strategic growth and the integration of Versace into its portfolio. CEO Andrea Guerra stated that the company is prioritizing the incorporation of its recent acquisition rather than pursuing other brands like Armani.
