Pradamano teenagers receive donated mopeds after lemonade stand police intervention

Three teenagers in Pradamano, near Udine, Italy, were cautioned by local police after setting up an unauthorized lemonade, coffee, and pastry stand. The 13 and 14-year-olds had intended to use the proceeds to purchase a vintage Piaggio Ciao moped.

The incident, which began after a formal complaint from a citizen, sparked a wave of national solidarity across Italy. Following the news, various benefactors and motorcycle clubs stepped in to support the youths. A GoFundMe campaign raised over 2,500 euros, and local organizations, including the Moto Club Morena of Udine and Ciao Club Italia, intervened to ensure the boys reached their goal.

As a result of the community response, the three boys will each receive a Piaggio Ciao moped. The local authorities clarified that the intervention was a warning regarding food and beverage regulations rather than a punitive measure.
