Pradyumna Ganesh Chaturthi 2026 observed on June 18 with prescribed rituals and auspicious timings
Pradyumna Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Pradyumna Vinayak Chaturthi, is observed on Thursday, 18 June 2026. The observance begins with the lunar tithi starting on 17 June 2026 at 21:38 hrs and ends on 18 June 2026 at 18:58 hrs. Devotees keep a fast and perform Ganesha puja during the auspicious midday muhurat, which starts at 11:34 a.m. and continues through the Abhijit muhurat (11:33 a.m. – 12:27 p.m.). Rituals include early morning bath, wearing clean clothes, cleaning the home altar, sprinkling Ganga water, offering red cloth, lighting a lamp, and presenting offerings such as modak, laddoo, roli, chandan and flowers. The chant “Om Gam Ganapataye Namah” and recitation of Ganesh Stotra or Ganesh Chalisa are recommended. The day is believed to remove obstacles, bring prosperity, and support personal and family wellbeing.
