Prague advances transport infrastructure and bridge renewal projects

Prague's Technical Administration of Communications (TSK) has restarted the renewal project for the Libeň Bridge. The immediate priority is the completion of the U Loděnice bridge (object SO205), which is intended to facilitate the rapid return of tram connections between Libeň and Holešovice. TSK has issued a public tender for the completion of this structure, which includes finishing the bridge deck and drainage systems.

In a broader context regarding Prague's transport infrastructure, the SPOLU coalition has proposed accelerating the construction of major transport projects. Key priorities include the completion of the city ring road and the Hloubětín tunnel. The coalition's plan aims to secure permits for the Hloubětín tunnel by 2027, with construction starting in 2029. The goal is to complete the city ring road by 2042, addressing the currently missing northeastern sections. Additionally, plans include the development of the Radlice tunnel, with construction potentially beginning in 2028.
