Prague hosts 14th annual Signal Festival

The 14th edition of the Signal Festival is taking place in Prague from October 15 to 18, featuring 21 light installations, video mappings, and projections. Under the theme ‘Dream On! Dreams and Visions,’ the event explores the boundary between reality and imagination.

While traditional routes through the Old and New Towns remain, this year’s festival expands its focus to the Dejvice district, including the Technical University area and the historic Bubenec sewage plant. The program includes works by international and Czech artists, such as a laser construction by Taiwanese artist Aka Chang and a video mapping by Ukrainian artist Svitlana Reinish inspired by the ideas of Václav Havel.

Thirteen of the 21 installations are free to the public between 19:00 and midnight, while paid tickets for specific offerings are priced at approximately 20 euros. The festival aims to create site-specific art tailored to Prague’s unique architecture, a strategy intended to build deep audience trust and distinguish the event from touring digital art exhibitions.
