Prague Public Transit Company issues 3.76 billion CZK tender for Libuš metro station

The Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) has launched a tender for the construction of the Libuš station on the new Metro Line D. The project is estimated to cost approximately 3.76 billion CZK excluding VAT. The tender evaluation will be based solely on price.

Construction of the station is expected to take 54 months following the handover of the site. The goal is to complete the station by 2032 to ensure it is ready for the opening of the first section of Line D, which will connect Pankrác to Písnice. The station will be a deep-level facility featuring an island platform and two vestibules.

The southern vestibule will connect to the Libuš tram stops via an underpass, while the northern vestibule will include an elevator for barrier-free access. The station's design includes a 204-meter length and a 102-meter long platform.

Line D is intended to feature driverless trains. While the Libuš station is a key component of the initial phase, the full metro route is currently scheduled to become operational in 2036.
