Prague rail service between Masaryk Station and Bubny suspended from June 2026

Starting Monday, 1 June 2026, long‑term rail work will suspend all trains between Prague’s Masaryk Station and the Bubny stop. The closure, linked to the ongoing modernization of Masaryk Station, is planned to last until December 2026.

Most commuter services from Kralupy nad Vltavou (S4) and Kladno (S5, S54, R24, R45) will terminate at Bubny. Early‑morning and early‑afternoon R42 services will be rerouted to Prague‑Vysočany, while rapid lines R24 and R45 will also call at the Vysočany exhibition stop. The S34 line to Čakovice will run only to Vysočany in the first days, returning to Masaryk Station on a provisional platform from 12 June.

Passengers are advised to use alternative public‑transport options: the Metro B line from Náměstí Republiky with a transfer to Metro C at Florenc reaches Vltavská, and tram 6 serves the Výstaviště stop. From Bílá Labuť, tram 34 connects to the area, and tram 12 serves Těšnov and Florenc. Replacement tickets for metro and tram travel will be issued at ticket offices or by train conductors.
