Prague to host first Great National Unity Day in Europe

The first-ever Great National Unity Day in Europe is scheduled to take place in Prague from October 31 to November 1. The event marks the 10th anniversary of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe and its third Congress.

Hoang Dinh Thang, Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe, stated that the festival aims to showcase solidarity and evaluate a decade of efforts to build a cohesive Vietnamese community across the continent. The union, founded in Prague in 2016, currently connects associations across 23 countries through cultural, sporting, and charitable activities.

A primary focus of the event is the role of the younger generation in preserving cultural identity and maintaining links between the Vietnamese homeland and European society. Organizers emphasized the need for new operating models and increased engagement for youth, students, and professionals to ensure the long-term vitality of the community.
