Prato to conduct emergency disinfestation following Dengue cases

Following the detection of two new cases of Dengue fever by Asl Toscana Centro, authorities in Prato have scheduled emergency disinfestation measures for September 8. The operations will begin at 6:00 AM and target both public lands and private properties.

Key areas for treatment include via del Purgatorio, via Traversa Purgatorio, and vicolo di Cortevecchia. Additionally, disinfestation will cover via Galcianese, specifically the sections near the Misericordia cemetery and the roundabout at via Cristoforo Colombo. An extraordinary disinfestation is also planned for the Parco della Liberazione e della Pace (Ex Ippodromo) on via Roma between 6:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Residents, business operators, and building administrators in the affected zones are required to grant access to workers. Health recommendations include staying indoors with windows and doors closed, turning off air exchange systems that draw in outside air, keeping laundry inside, and keeping pets indoors or protected during the treatment.
