Pratt & Whitney invests $100 million in new Polish factory
Pratt & Whitney is investing $100 million to establish a new manufacturing facility in Rzeszów, Poland. The plant will focus on producing critical rotating components, such as turbine disks and compressor rotors, to meet rising demand in both the commercial and military aviation sectors. The facility is intended to support engine models including the F100, F135, and GTF.
The new site is expected to become operational by 2028 and will create more than 120 new jobs. This expansion, combined with a concurrent project in Columbus, Georgia, aims to increase the production of turbine disks and rotating compressors by 30 percent by 2028.
With this investment, Poland solidifies its position as the largest international technical hub for RTX outside of the United States. The existing Rzeszów site already produces static components for the F100 and parts for the F135 and GTF engines.
