Prefect Mariano visits Teramo Province to address reconstruction

New Prefect Mariano arrived in the Province of Teramo and met with President Camillo D'Angelo, chief of staff Luana Strippoli, Vice‑Prefect, and Police Commander Pasquale Vittorini. The discussion covered the region’s history, tourism, business, and the challenges posed by a series of natural disasters, including the 2009 and 2016 earthquakes and a recent severe hailstorm that caused extensive damage to homes, vehicles and agricultural enterprises. President D'Angelo highlighted the need for reconstruction, especially the seismic reinforcement of schools, and presented the Prefect with a rare edition of Guido Giancaterino’s “Motivi d’arte in Teramo e Provincia.”
