Prefectura Naval Argentina rescues man from Paraná River

A man was rescued from the Paraná River after falling from the General Belgrano Bridge, which connects the provinces of Corrientes and Chaco in Argentina.

Following an alert from the Gendarmería Nacional Argentina, the Prefectura Naval Argentina deployed surface vessels and land units to locate the individual. The man was found near kilometer 1203 of the river, struggling to stay afloat and being carried by the current. Local fishermen also assisted in the rescue efforts.

The victim was brought to the Arazaty beach area in Corrientes, where he received initial treatment for trauma and signs of hypothermia. He was subsequently stabilized by emergency medical services and transported to the Hospital Escuela ‘Gral. José Francisco de San Martín’. After medical evaluation, the man was discharged to the care of a family member.
