Premio Charlot 38th edition to open in Salerno

The 38th edition of the Premio Charlot is scheduled to begin on September 20 at the Teatro Delle Arti in Salerno. The event aims to combine the arts of illustration and comic books with live performance.

The opening program, hosted by Pino Cuozzo (known as Cup of Pino), features a live artistic performance. International illustrators Pasquale Qualano and Andrea Scoppetta will engage in a simultaneous drawing challenge centered on the figure of Charlot. Qualano is noted for his superhero-style work with Marvel and DC Comics, while Scoppetta brings an animation-focused style informed by his work with Disney Animation.

Following the live illustration segment, the event will present a musical production of Rapunzel, directed by Antonello Ronga, based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale.
