Premio Pigro songwriting competition finale set for October 4 in Teramo
The Premio Pigro songwriting competition, dedicated to the memory of Ivan Graziani, will hold its grand finale on October 4 in Teramo, Italy. The event will be presented by Martina Martorano of Rai Radio 2 and features a lineup of performers including Irene Grandi, Giordana Angi, Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi, Filippo Graziani, Caroline Pagani, Alverio Cau, and the Tenore Usùsule di Siniscola.
Promoted by the Associazione Culturale Artistica Pigro, the contest aims to discover and support new creative talent within the Italian music scene. The competition consists of three phases, beginning with an online selection process. Applications for the 2026 cycle must be submitted by September 12, 2026.
Winners and finalists will receive various prizes, including a performance at the official Premio Pigro evening, artistic promotion, a three-day musical writing residency, and the opportunity for a one-year managerial consultancy with Doc Music. Additionally, winners may receive opening live slots for artists on the IMARTS roster and NUOVO IMAIE plaques.
