2026 Premio Pigro songwriting competition results

Overview

The Premio Pigro songwriting competition, held in memory of Ivan Graziani, concluded its 2026 cycle on October 4 in Teramo, Italy. The grand finale, hosted by Martina Martorano of Rai Radio 2, featured performances by guest artists including Irene Grandi, Giordana Angi, and tributes to Graziani by Filippo Graziani and Enrico Melozzi.

Jacopo Cappelletti, born in 2007, secured first place in the competition. He was followed by Alice Burani in second and Elena Calaudi in third. As part of his prize, Cappelletti will undergo a three-day musical songwriting residency and receive one year of managerial consultancy from Doc Music.

A notable development during the ceremony was the announcement of a formal twinning agreement between the cities of Teramo and Alghero. Named in honor of Ivan Graziani, who was born in Teramo to an Algherese mother, the pact is intended to promote and preserve the artist’s legacy through permanent synergy between the two communities.
