Rashad al-Alimi warns Houthis of collapse after Hays liberation
Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council President Rashad al-Alimi has warned that Houthi miscalculations could lead to the group’s total collapse following the liberation of the Hays district in Hodeidah governorate. Government forces successfully seized control of the strategic district, which connects the Hodeidah, Taiz, and Ibb governorates.
Alimi has also issued a stern warning against Houthi attempts to control the Bab al-Mandab Strait, stating that the state will not allow Iran to achieve its objectives in the region. He emphasized that any such military adventures would result in severe attrition for the Houthi militia.
The President has been monitoring military operations in the Taiz governorate closely, coordinating with field commanders to ensure combat readiness and the security of liberated areas. He held the Houthi group responsible for the humanitarian consequences of recent escalations, including the displacement of hundreds of families and civilian casualties caused by missile and drone attacks.
