President Bola Tinubu highlights development, honors and security reforms in Nigeria
President Bola Tinubu issued a series of statements and participated in events across Nigeria. He congratulated former Lagos governor and ex‑minister Babatunde Fashola on his 63rd birthday, praising his legacy in public service, infrastructure and urban development.
Tinubu also addressed the 80th anniversary of nationalist Herbert Macaulay’s death, urging Nigerians to emulate Macaulay’s patriotism and emphasizing education as a cornerstone of his Renewed Hope Agenda.
The administration announced continued support for micro, small and medium enterprises, citing the 8th National MSME Awards where a 25‑year‑old entrepreneur from Katsina won a ₦7.5 million prize and noting the launch of a book documenting federal MSME initiatives.
In security matters, former Ijaw Youth Council president Udengs Eradiri commended Tinubu’s political will to establish state police, while Tinubu also commissioned the Jahi‑Gwarimpa arterial road interchange in Abuja, stressing that infrastructure is the foundation of prosperity.
Additionally, Tinubu marked Benue State’s 50‑year anniversary, pledged sustained development, and called on citizens to pay taxes to fund further projects.
