Nyesom Wike’s Road Projects Transform Abuja under Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ Agenda

President Bola Tinubu’s administration has inaugurated a series of major road projects in the Federal Capital Territory, highlighting Minister of the FCT Nyesom Wike’s role in reshaping Abuja’s infrastructure. The events included the commissioning of the Arterial Road N16‑Ring Road III interchange linking Jahi and Gwarimpa districts, the launch of Collector Roads 01 and 02 in the Mabushi district, and the opening of the Mabushi–Ahmadu Bello Way link roads. Senate President Godswill Akpabio, representing the president, praised Wike’s “game‑changing” leadership, while Vice‑President Kashim Shettima called the new collector roads a structural shift that will boost commerce and productivity. President Tinubu defended his focus on infrastructure, describing roads as “the veins of commerce” and urging citizens to pay taxes to sustain further projects. He also noted that opposition politicians are now using the newly built roads, underscoring the broad impact of the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda across the capital.

The projects are part of a wider effort to alleviate chronic traffic congestion, attract housing development and stimulate economic activity throughout Abuja’s districts and satellite towns.
