President Bola Tinubu Secures APC Primary Win with Over 10 Million Votes, Praised by Lagos Governor

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for Nigeria’s 2027 general election after receiving more than 10 million votes in the party’s primary. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo‑Olu publicly congratulated Tinubu, stating that the result reflects the confidence and trust that party members across the country place in his leadership.

Sanwo‑Olu highlighted the peaceful and well‑organised nature of the primary, commending the APC’s National Working Committee and state executives for a smooth exercise.
