President Daniel Chapo inaugurates new court in Matutuíne

President Daniel Chapo has begun a three-day working visit to Mozambique's Maputo Province as part of a proximity governance agenda aimed at strengthening ties between the state and its citizens. During the visit, the President traveled to the Matutuíne District to inaugurate a new judicial court located in Ponta de Ouro.

The new 550-square-meter facility includes four magistrate offices, two registries, a courtroom with a 70-person capacity, and dedicated spaces for lawyers and the Institute of Legal Assistance (IPAJ). During the inauguration, Chapo urged judicial professionals to work with speed and efficiency to prevent the accumulation of unresolved cases.

The presidential itinerary includes stops in Boane, Manhiça, and Matola, featuring public rallies and meetings with various community segments, including women, to discuss local challenges and public policy improvements. The President is accompanied by several ministers, including those overseeing Interior, Justice, Agriculture, and Labor.
