President Droupadi Murmu to honor 21 educators with national awards

President Droupadi Murmu will honor 21 educators and faculty members with the National Awards to Teachers on September 5 in New Delhi to mark Teacher's Day. The ceremony will take place at Vigyan Bhawan.

This year's recipients represent a diverse range of institutions, including 12 from central higher education institutions, five from state universities, and four from polytechnic institutes. Notable institutions represented include various IITs (Roorkee, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Bombay, and Kanpur), BITS Pilani, IISER Bhopal, and AIIMS Mangalagiri.

The awards recognize outstanding contributions in areas such as teaching, research, innovation, outreach activities, and faculty development. The selection process, managed by the Ministry of Education, included nominations from individuals, institutions, and colleagues to encourage public participation.
