Indonesia President Prabowo holds economic meeting with ministers

President Prabowo Subianto convened a limited meeting at the Presidential Palace with several ministers and heads of agencies to discuss Indonesia's current economic conditions. Key attendees included Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, and Bank Indonesia Governor Destry Damayanti.

During the discussions, Minister Suahasil Nazara addressed several economic indicators, noting that October inflation reached 3.23 percent, which remains within the government's target range of 1.5 to 3.5 percent. She also highlighted an increase in the manufacturing PMI to 54 in October, signaling rising demand.

The meeting also covered the impact of global oil prices, which recently reached between 113 and 114 US dollars per barrel, on the state budget (APBN) and government bond yields. Additionally, Minister Nazara clarified that the Ministry of Finance will not become a shareholder in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), maintaining its role as a policymaker rather than a commercial operator.
