President Prabowo Subianto has engaged in multiple high level meetings to address Indonesia’s economic direction and human resource development. On November 2, 2026, the President held a follow up limited meeting at the Presidential Palace with several ministers and agency heads, including Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, and Bank Indonesia Governor Destry Damayanti. Minister Nazara reported that October inflation reached 3.23 percent, staying within the government target range of 1.5 to 3.5 percent, and noted a manufacturing PMI increase to 54. The meeting also addressed the impact of global oil prices, which reached between 113 and 114 US dollars per barrel, on the state budget and government bond yields. Additionally, Nazara clarified that the Ministry of Finance will not become a shareholder in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).
