Indonesia President Prabowo Reaffirms Openness to Foreign Investment
President Prabowo Subianto told the 18th National Conference of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) in Bandar Lampung that Indonesia remains open to foreign investors, rejecting claims that his administration is hostile to overseas capital. He said investors must comply with Indonesian laws and highlighted the government's commitment to strong law‑enforcement to ensure a fair business environment.
Prabowo noted the Strategic Program Acceleration Task Force (P2SP) is designed to clear licensing and regulatory bottlenecks, a move the finance minister said could accelerate more than US$30 billion in projects currently delayed by administrative obstacles.
