President Prabowo Subianto advances Rempang governance reforms and hosts PM Modi in Indonesia

Secretary‑Founder of Indonesian Audit Watch Iskandar Sitorus said President Prabowo Subianto can use the Rempang Eco‑City project as a chance to set a new standard for national investment governance. He noted previous Ombudsman findings of maladministration and repeated audit reports, stating, "For President Prabowo Subianto, Rempang is an opportunity to demonstrate better governance standards," and adding that the current administration inherits both projects and unresolved issues.

During a state visit, President Prabowo met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Yogyakarta’s international airport. The two leaders traveled together by helicopter to the Adisutjipto air base and then proceeded to the UNESCO‑listed Prambanan temple complex, where they inspected the site and unveiled a plaque marking Indonesia‑India cooperation on cultural heritage conservation.
