President Prabowo Subianto backs cooperatives and pushes for World Cup funding

President Prabowo Subianto addressed the 79th cooperative day ceremony at the Gelora Bung Karno arena, saying that despite multiple electoral defeats the cooperative movement has always stood with him and reaffirming his commitment to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people.

He also voiced disappointment that the national football team has not qualified for the 2026 World Cup, urging the finance minister to allocate sufficient APBN funds to support football development. PSSI executive Arya Sinulingga echoed the call for stronger budget backing to help Indonesia reach future World Cup tournaments.
