President Prabowo Subianto Holds Five‑Hour Meeting on Village Cooperatives at Jakarta Palace

President Prabowo Subianto convened a five‑hour meeting at the presidential complex in Jakarta on 15 July 2026, attended by cabinet ministers and heads of state agencies. The discussion focused on strengthening the role of the Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (KDMP) as a government‑run infrastructure for delivering social assistance, subsidies and agricultural produce from rural communities. Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that KDMP will serve as the primary channel for distributing aid and as an offtaker for farm output, especially when market prices fall below government‑set levels. The meeting, which began around 15:05 WIB and concluded near 20:00 WIB, aimed to formalise the cooperative’s functions in the national assistance system.
