President Prabowo Subianto targets corruption at Indonesia's National Nutrition Agency

President Prabowo Subianto ordered a rapid law‑enforcement sweep of the Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN), the country's National Nutrition Agency, to root out corruption and misuse of authority. The move garnered widespread approval from activists, political analysts and various segments of the public.

Spokesperson Agus Teddy of the 98 Resolution Network praised the action, stating it provides “bukti nyata dari kepemimpinan yang bersih, berani, dan berpihak sepenuhnya pada kepentingan rakyat” and demonstrates a zero‑tolerance stance that aligns with the 1998 Reform agenda. The activists highlighted the agency’s role in nutrition and food‑security programmes as essential to Indonesia’s “Emas 2045” vision for the nation’s future.
