President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative Highlights Kogi Projects and Akwete Weaving Support

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu criticised the low participation in the community category of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Green Nigeria Challenge, which closed on 15 July without significant entries, and urged Nigerians to submit proposals for the next phase before the 20 December deadline.

During a visit to Abia State, she announced a ₦2 billion donation to revitalize the traditional Akwete hand‑woven textile industry and pledged to wear an Akwete wrapper and buba at the presidential inauguration if President Bola Tinubu wins a second term.

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by Special Adviser Sunday Dare, inspected a series of federal and state projects in Kogi State, including the reconstruction of the Abuja‑Lagos‑Lokoja expressway, new primary health centre, international market in Lokoja, Federal Teaching Hospital, and extensive university facilities at Confluence University of Science and Technology. They also visited the Barefoot Renewable Energy College and a green‑hydrogen pilot plant, citing Tinubu’s reform policies as delivering mutual benefits to the federal government and the states.
