President Zardari announces Pakistan Civil Awards 2026

President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the list of Pakistan Civil Awards for 2026, recognizing over 1,500 military and civilian recipients for their distinguished services. The honors include 1,172 military awards for officers and personnel of the armed forces and civil armed forces, as well as 355 national civil awards for individuals in fields such as science, engineering, education, medicine, arts, journalism, and sports.

Among the high-ranking political recipients, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi have been approved for the Nishan-e-Imtiaz. Other notable domestic recipients include federal ministers Muhammad Aurangzeb, Ahad Cheema, and Bilal Azhar Kiani, alongside Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan and FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial.

International recipients include Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who will receive the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, along with the Turkish Minister of Defense and Minister of Trade. A Deputy Prime Minister from the Russian Federation is also slated to receive a civil award.

In the arts and culture sector, Sufi opera singer Saira Peter has been awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for her contributions to music and performing arts. Other cultural honorees include Sultana Siddiqui (Hilal-e-Imtiaz), Nasho Begum, Tarannum Naz, and Iftikhar Thakur. The awards are scheduled to be presented during a ceremony on March 23, Pakistan Day.
