Pride events scheduled for Bernau and Verden in Germany

Multiple Christopher Street Day (CSD) events are scheduled to take place in Germany on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

In Bernau, a demonstration for diversity, tolerance, and democracy will begin at 12:00 PM at the station forecourt and conclude around 3:00 PM. The event, which was rescheduled from June due to extreme heat, follows the motto ‘More glitter, less hate. Love how you want to.’ A counter-demonstration has also been registered to run until 4:00 PM. Local police have warned of significant traffic disruptions, including closures in the city center and on the L30 and L200 main roads.

In Verden, the third CSD will be held starting at 1:00 PM at the town hall square. Organizers emphasized the importance of visibility and education to combat social gaps and lack of information regarding the queer community. The event includes personal testimonies regarding experiences of violence to promote social acceptance and equal rights.
