Primark invests €10 million in new Craiova store as lululemon opens first Romanian shop in Bucharest

Primark announced a €10 million investment in a new 3,185 sq m store at ElectroPutere Mall in Craiova, marking its fifth Romanian location and the retailer’s debut in the south‑west region. The opening created over 100 local jobs. The company said the move is part of a plan to double its Romanian presence to nine stores by September 2027, with additional outlets slated for Iași, Sibiu, Bacău and a third Bucharest store at Sun Plaza.

lululemon opened its first Romanian store on 5 June 2026 in Bucharest’s Băneasa Shopping City, covering about 580 sq m. The outlet was launched through a franchise partnership with Arion Retail Group and featured a series of community‑focused events, including studio takeovers and fitness activities, to embed the brand in the local wellbeing scene.
