Prime Minister Andrew Holness Wins Court of Appeal Rulings on Election Challenge and Integrity Commission Case
Jamaica's Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal by Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness seeking to strike out portions of an affidavit filed by the Integrity Commission. Holness's legal team said the decision does not adversely affect his broader case and that they have already secured disclosure of a wide cache of documents.
In a separate matter, the same Court of Appeal rejected Paul Buchanan's challenge to overturn Holness's 2025 general‑election victory in West Central St. Andrew, citing the expiration of the statutory time limit for contesting results. Buchanan, represented by attorney Hugh Wildman, indicated he will pursue further review in the Constitutional Court.
