Prime Minister Tarek Rahman inaugurates greenery program in Aminbazar

Prime Minister Tarek Rahman stated that any area can be made beautiful, clean, and environmentally friendly through proper planning and political will. He cited the visible changes in Aminbazar, located on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway, over the last two months as evidence of this potential.

Following the inauguration of a greenery and beautification program involving tree planting, the Prime Minister emphasized that local residents must take responsibility to maintain environmental beauty. He noted that combining government initiatives with community cooperation can gradually resolve issues related to environmental pollution and waste management.

The Prime Minister thanked Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Farida Begum and officials from the Ministry of Local Government for their efforts. He instructed the Deputy Commissioner to expand greenery activities to other areas under Dhaka district and suggested that factory and mill owners along the highway could be tasked with the maintenance of specific locations. He also called upon local Members of Parliament to coordinate with the district administration to ensure long-term environmental improvements.
