Prime Minister Tareq Rahman calls for unity to build a developed Bangladesh

During a meeting with the Bangladeshi community in Tokyo, Japan, Prime Minister Tareq Rahman urged both expatriates and citizens living in Bangladesh to work together to ensure national development and public welfare. He emphasized that the benefits of a developed nation would be shared by all Bangladeshis, whether they reside domestically or abroad.

Addressing concerns raised by community members, the Prime Minister outlined government plans regarding healthcare, education, and the creation of a skilled workforce to increase Bangladeshi participation in the Japanese labor market.

A key initiative discussed was the introduction of a third language in schools alongside English. The government plans to allow students to choose from foreign languages such as Japanese, German, or French to enhance employment and higher education opportunities. This program, which includes plans for technical and vocational training as well as sports and cultural activities, is expected to begin in schools as early as next year.
