Prime Video to invest $2 billion in Latin American content

Prime Video has announced a major investment of over $2 billion between 2027 and 2030 to expand its presence in Latin America. The platform aims to more than double its original productions, targeting over 25 titles in 2027.

Key upcoming releases include a series starring Belinda based on the controversial Florence Cassez case, the film ‘Los Culpables’ featuring Gael García Bernal, and the second season of the Mexican adaptation of ‘The Office’, titled ‘La Oficina’.

Kelly Day, International Vice President of Prime Video, noted that Latin America has contributed one of the largest audience proportions to the platform's top 15 global successes over the last year. The investment will cover original content, licensed content, and sports across markets including Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile.
