Prince Andrew to testify in Suffolk man's trial over threats to royal family

Prince Andrew, formally known as Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor, will give evidence remotely in the July 29 trial of Suffolk computer‑science graduate Alex Jenkinson. Jenkinson faces two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour, one charge relating to an alleged threat against the younger brother of King Charles III. The incident occurred in early May near the Sandringham Estate, where Prince Andrew was walking his dogs at Marsh Farm. Jenkinson also allegedly threatened another man, Stephen Terry, on May 5 and has pleaded not guilty to both charges. The case will be heard at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, with Prince Andrew’s testimony arranged by video link.
