Prince George RCMP investigating shots fired in College Heights

The Prince George RCMP is investigating reports of gunfire in the College Heights area. Police responded to the 7100 block of Barbara Place around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, September 4, after a witness reported hearing five to six gunshots.

A witness also observed a white SUV fleeing the neighborhood at high speed shortly after the shots were heard. Investigators are currently working to determine if the gunfire and the vehicle's departure are related. No injuries have been reported.

Corporal Jennifer Cooper, a media relations officer for the Prince George RCMP, stated that investigators are working to determine the full circumstances of the event. Authorities are asking residents in adjacent blocks to review surveillance footage and dash cameras for any suspicious activity and to report any information to the police.
