Princess Eugenie reportedly apologizes after Meghan Markle gift appears on eBay

A personalized copy of Meghan Markle’s children’s book, ‘The Bench,’ recently appeared on eBay for approximately £20,000 ($26,500). The book contained a handwritten inscription addressed to Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, celebrating the bond between father and son and referencing Frogmore Cottage.

Reports indicate that Princess Eugenie was “horrified” by the listing and allegedly contacted Meghan Markle directly to apologize, maintaining that she had no knowledge of the book being offered for sale. While some insiders suggest the incident could be interpreted as a statement of loyalty within the royal family, others note that the Duchess of Sussex reportedly accepted the explanation and did not hold Eugenie responsible for the appearance of the item online.
