Priolo Gargallo and Quartu host summer cultural festivals in Italy

In Priolo Gargallo, the municipal administration staged the second Liberamente Festival, featuring a vibrant adaptation of Aristophanes’ comedy Lisistrata – Power to Women. The production was directed by Arianna Vinci, with artistic direction of the festival by Deila Caruso and artistic direction of the show by Elena Savatta. Despite high summer temperatures, the performance attracted a large audience, highlighting themes of peace and women’s roles.

In Quartu, the second edition of the Festival delle Arti took place at Sa Dom’e Farra on 23 July. Organized by artist‑director Alessio Ninu, the event honored astronaut and astrophysicist Umberto Guidoni as guest of honor. The programme, themed “Science and Science‑Fiction”, included orchestral renditions of film scores from Star Wars, Matrix, E.T., and Interstellar, alongside discussions of space exploration and upcoming missions.
