Prizren hosts training on green transition and environmental advocacy

A two-day training session titled “Advocacy in Inclusive Environmental Policies and Green Transition” was held in Prizren as part of the “Green Horizons” project. The initiative aims to support the green transition led by youth and communities in Northern Kosovo.

The training brought together young people, civil society representatives, activists, educators, and high school students. Participants focused on strengthening their knowledge and skills regarding environmental policy advocacy and active participation in green transition processes. Key topics included climate change, energy efficiency, circular economy, and relevant environmental policies from both the European Union and Kosovo.

Through interactive sessions and practical group work, attendees analyzed local environmental challenges and developed action plans to address them. The program also included exercises in identifying relevant stakeholders, formulating advocacy messages, and simulating dialogue processes with decision-makers to promote sustainable environmental solutions.
