Procter & Gamble appoints Shailesh Jejurikar chairman, Jon Moeller to retire

Procter & Gamble announced that Shailesh Jejurikar will become Chairman of its Board of Directors on August 1, 2026, while retaining his role as President and Chief Executive Officer. The transition follows the planned retirement of Executive Chairman Jon Moeller, who will step down from the board on July 31, 2026 and leave the company on August 14, 2026 after a 38‑year tenure.

Jejurikar, an India‑born executive who joined P&G in 1989, has held senior positions across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa. He has overseen the company’s Fabric Care and Home Care divisions and led key functions such as supply chain, information technology and global business services. His appointment marks a continuation of internal leadership succession at one of the world’s largest consumer‑goods firms, which serves roughly five billion people in more than 180 countries.
