PRODEMU and SernamEG certify 100 women in Arica

Approximately 100 women in the Arica province have completed training processes organized by the Foundation for the Promotion and Development of Women (PRODEMU). The certification ceremony recognized progress in various areas designed to strengthen female autonomy.

The training included workshops such as ‘Empoderadas’, ‘Hablemos de Nosotras’, ‘Expresarte’, ‘Lideresas’, and ‘Juntas Crecemos’. These programs covered topics including gender, sexual and reproductive rights, leadership, technical training, and business plan development.

Marcela Carrasco Miranda, regional director of PRODEMU, and Sebastián Peirano Larenas, acting regional director of SernamEG, highlighted the importance of these tools in allowing women to make decisions regarding their own life projects and economic autonomy.
