Profeco shares budget pozole recipe for Independence Day

The Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) has released a budget-friendly recipe for white pozole to assist consumers during the Mexican Independence Day celebrations. According to Iván Escalante, the head of Profeco, the recipe serves six people and has an estimated cost of 292 pesos.

During a recent briefing, Escalante noted recent fluctuations in food prices. Specifically, the price of onions has increased by 32.70 percent, and lemons have risen by 11.17 percent. In contrast, the price of potatoes has decreased by 10.66 percent, along with a reduction in chicken prices.
