Progressive metal supergroup TEMIC announces second album “Ceiba” for 2026

TEMIC, an international progressive‑metal collective that includes members from Devin Townsend, Shattered Fortress, Haken, and other groups, revealed its second full‑length album, Ceiba. The record will be released on 2 October 2026 through Season of Mist and is supported by the lead single and video “Ceased to Be”, which portrays a dying protagonist’s perspective. The video was shot on the Yucatán Peninsula, featuring a Mayan death‑god motif and actress Anna Kirse.

“Ceiba” is a concept album about loss, drawing on the symbolism of the Ceiba tree as an axis‑mundi linking earth, heaven, and the underworld. Recording took place at Lionheart Studio in Oslo, Norway, and the band will promote the album with a European headline tour later in the year.
