Projective and GlobalM Unveil New Broadcast Workflow Tools at IBC2026
At the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC2026) in Amsterdam, UK‑based Projective announced three upgrades to its Strawberry asset‑management platform. The additions include an AI‑driven Visual Search with Shot Detection that automatically tags individual shots, a “Single Pane of Glass” dashboard for overseeing multiple Strawberry deployments, and the Strawberry Skies Starter Bundle, a hosted cloud‑based post‑production service aimed at smaller teams. Projective CEO Derek Barrilleaux said the tools help broadcasters cut operational waste and reclaim up to 20 hours per user each week.
Singapore‑based GlobalM also used its IBC booth to showcase a software‑defined media platform that unifies live‑IP workflows across public cloud, private cloud and on‑premise environments. New features such as the GMX1 on‑prem deployment solution and GMDC device‑control system let broadcasters provision services, manage thousands of live connections and automate multi‑vendor networks from a single interface. GlobalM CEO Paul Calleja highlighted the shift from transport protocols to comprehensive operational management.
