Promipyme launches EmprendeLab 2026 in Santiago de los Caballeros

The National Council for the Promotion and Support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Promipyme) inaugurated the third edition of EmprendeLab 2026 in Santiago de los Caballeros, showcasing six finalist innovation projects. The opening ceremony was led by Promipyme’s director general, Fabricio Gómez Mazara, and sub‑director Jhonatan Cabrera, with participation from Santiago mayor Ulises Rodríguez, entrepreneur Manuel Estrella, and provincial governor Rosa María Santos Méndez.

Gómez Mazara highlighted that EmprendeLab has approved more than 160 innovation projects since its inception, positioning the platform as a bridge between academic ideas and market realities for young Dominican entrepreneurs. The event, running from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., gathered entrepreneurs, investors, and innovation specialists, and acknowledged support from Industry Minister Eduardo Sanz Lovatón and various private sector sponsors. The program aims to nurture a new generation of Dominican innovators who can transform the country through technology and new business opportunities.
